For quite some time I have had a major love and admiration for the Belgians and their architecture and so finally when on the cusp of my own self build I decided the time was right for a well needed injection of inspiration. From the moment we stepped off the plane my mouth was constantly open in awe of the glorious sights I saw. The roofs, the windows, the doors, the driveways... the list is exhaustive. I admire their love of architecture and history. They are masters of preservation and renovation, sympathetically and beautifully. Their attention to detail and immaculately good taste is second to none. I'm back full of ideas and most importably full of inspiration... and already planning Bruges round two!!
